Omada EAP Mesh enables wireless connectivity between Omada Access Points (APs) to extend network range without running cables to every node. It uses intelligent self-organizing and self-healing, allowing APs to automatically form a unified, flexible network and reroute connections if one node fails. This system requires an Omada Controller to manage the nodes.
Key Features and Benefits of Omada Mesh:-
- Wireless Flexibility: Ideal for areas where Ethernet cables cannot be installed, allowing for flexible,, quick, and convenient deployments.
- Unified Network: Functions as a single, cohesive network, providing seamless roaming across the covered area.
- Intelligent Self-Organization: The system automatically identifies the best path between APs and connects new APs to the nearest root device for optimal performance.
- Self-Healing: If a mesh node loses connection, the system automatically calculates and establishes a new, alternative path.
- Simple Management: Managed via the centralized Omada Software Controller or Hardware Controller, making setup and configuration straightforward.
- Indoor/Outdoor Support: Can be used to connect indoor and outdoor APs (e.g., EAP225-Outdoor) to extend coverage into gardens, garages, or across multiple buildings.
Requirements for Omada Mesh:-
- Omada Access Points: Must be compatible EAP models (e.g., EAP787, EAP653 UR etc).
- Omada Controller: A hardware or software controller is necessary for setup and management.
- Firmware: Devices must run the latest firmware to ensure compatibility.
